High critical temperature superconducting Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x (BiSCCO) material has successfully been produced by means of electro-deposition and annealing on Ag substrates.
During a collaboration between ENEA and the Italian company of EDISON Termoelettrica SpA, some structures based on Ni (NiCr80/20) tapes have been developed and used to grow layers of oxide and then Ag, to improve the physical properties of the substrates.
